How to Place a Double-Sided Order

Some products -- like banners and signs -- can be printed on both sides. If you need artwork on the front and back, Prints by Patriot makes it easy to upload both designs during the ordering process.

Step 1: Select a Double-Sided Product

Not all products support double-sided printing. When configuring your product in the Price Calculator, look for a Sides dropdown. Select Double Sided to enable back printing.

If you want the back to use a different design from the front, set Artwork on Back? to Different than Front. If you want the same artwork on both sides, choose Same as Front.

Note: If the product doesn't show a Sides option, it only supports single-sided printing. Common double-sided products include yard signs, retractable banner stands, and certain rigid signs.

Step 2: Upload Your Front Artwork

Click Upload Artwork & Add To Cart to go to the upload page. You'll see:

  • A Job Name field (auto-generated -- rename it if you'd like)
  • A Front Page upload area
  • A Back Page upload area (only appears for double-sided products)

Upload your front-side design by dragging and dropping the file or clicking Select File.

Step 3: Upload Your Back Artwork

Below the Front Page section, you'll see a Back Page upload area. This only appears when you've selected a double-sided option for your product.

Upload your back-side design the same way -- drag and drop or click Select File.

File requirements are the same for both sides: - Formats: PDF, JPEG - Resolution: 150-300 DPI - Color mode: CMYK preferred - Max file size: 150MB

Step 4: Add to Cart and Check Out

Once both sides are uploaded, click Add to Cart. In your cart, the item will show as a double-sided product. Review the details and continue through checkout as usual.

Tips

  • Use matching dimensions. Both sides should be designed to the same size. The product configuration (size, material, finishing) applies to the entire piece.
  • Mirror your design if needed. Depending on the product, the back side may print as a mirror image. Check the product description or contact us if you're unsure.
  • Upload Artwork Later works for both sides. If you're not ready with the back design, you can add the item to your cart and upload the back artwork later from your order history.

Front and Back, One Simple Upload

Double-sided printing is built right into the upload process. Select the double-sided option, upload both files, and you're good to go.
