How to Change Artwork After Ordering

Realized you uploaded the wrong file? Need to swap out artwork before your order goes to print? Here's how to handle artwork changes at Prints by Patriot.

If You Used "Upload Artwork Later"

If you added the item to your cart using Buy Now and Upload Artwork Later, your artwork hasn't been submitted yet. You can upload the correct file at any time:

  1. Log in and go to Orders in your account sidebar
  2. Find the order -- items that still need artwork will show an Awaiting Artwork status
  3. Click View Details
  4. Look for the artwork upload link on items marked as awaiting artwork

If You Already Uploaded Artwork

Once artwork has been submitted with your order, changes depend on where the order is in the production process.

Before Production Starts

If your order status is still Pending or Order Processing:

  1. Contact Patriot directly -- call (817) 581-2500 or email info@printsbypatriot.com
  2. Reference your Order Number (found on your Orders page or in your confirmation email)
  3. Explain which item needs new artwork
  4. They'll let you know how to submit the replacement file

The team can typically swap artwork before the job enters pre-press.

During Pre-Press or Production

If the order has moved to In Pre-Production or In Production, artwork changes may not be possible without delaying or restarting the job. Contact the team as soon as possible -- the sooner you reach out, the better the chances of making a change.

Tips for Avoiding Artwork Issues

  • Double-check your files before uploading. Make sure the correct file is selected, especially when uploading multiple versions.
  • Name your files clearly. Use descriptive filenames (e.g., "East-Entrance-Banner-FINAL.pdf") to avoid uploading the wrong version.
  • Use the PDF preview. After uploading, check the preview thumbnail on the upload page and in your cart to confirm it's the right design.
  • Name your jobs. On the upload page, rename the Job Name to something meaningful so you can easily identify each item in your order.
