Ordering custom banners, signs, and printed materials from Prints by Patriot is a straightforward process. This guide walks you through every step -- from picking your product to completing checkout.

Note: This guide covers placing a standard single-sided order. For double-sided products, see our Double-Sided Order guide.


Step 1: Browse and Select a Product

Use the navigation bar to find the product you need. Our main categories include:

  • Banners & Posters
  • Signs
  • Vinyl & Stickers
  • Material by Applications
  • Specialty Products

Click into a category, then select the specific product you want to order.

Step 2: Configure Your Product

Each product page has a Price Calculator on the right side where you'll set up your order specs.

Here's what you'll configure (using a Standard Vinyl Banner as an example):

  1. Size -- choose from preset sizes (5ft x 2ft through 10ft x 5ft) or select Custom Size to enter your own dimensions
  2. Quantity -- how many you need
  3. Material -- select the material type (e.g., 13oz Matte Vinyl)
  4. Hems -- Yes or No
  5. Grommet Layout -- choose from 9 different grommet placement options
  6. Production Time -- Next Day (standard) or Same Day Rush Fee for urgent orders

Once configured, the calculator displays your total price. You'll also see a countdown timer showing the current production window cutoff and your estimated ship date.

Step 3: Upload Your Artwork

Click the big blue Upload Artwork & Add To Cart button to proceed to the upload page.

On the upload page, you'll find:

  • Quick Upload Guide with accepted file specs:
  • Formats: PDF, JPEG
  • Resolution: 150-300 DPI
  • Color mode: CMYK preferred
  • Max file size: 150MB
  • Job Name -- auto-generated for you (you can change it if you like)
  • Front Page upload area -- drag and drop your file or click Select File
  • Back Page upload area -- this appears if you selected a double-sided product. Upload your back artwork here. See our Double-Sided Order guide for details.

Once your file is uploaded, click Add to Cart.

Not ready to upload? No problem. Back on the product page, you can click Buy now and Upload Artwork Later to add the item to your cart and submit artwork at a later time. You can also click Upload Artwork Later on the upload page itself.


Step 4: Review Your Cart

Your cart shows a summary of each item:

  • Product name and job name
  • Size, material, and finishing options
  • Quantity (adjustable with the spinner)
  • Price per item
  • Edit Order, Save for Later, and Delete links for each item

Below the items, you'll see the Price Summary with your subtotal. When everything looks right, click Continue.


Step 5: Choose Shipping

The checkout flow has 3 steps: Cart > Shipping > Payment Details. On the Shipping step, you'll set:

Your default address is shown. You can: - Click Edit to update it - Click + Add to enter a new address - Use the Select Another Address dropdown to choose from saved addresses

Pick the option that fits your timeline and budget:

Billing Address

Check Same as Shipping to use the same address, or enter a separate billing address.

Step 6: Enter Payment and Place Your Order

On the final step, enter your payment information and review the order total. Submit your payment, and you're done!

You'll receive a confirmation email with your order details and tracking information once your order ships.
